Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao held an unusually candid press conference following the annual meeting of the National People’s Congress (NPC) on March 14. The premier fielded questions on a variety of topics, ranging from China’s internal laws and regulations to its at times troubled relationship with Taiwan, Japan and the United States. Journalists from 13 different news outlets in nine different countries posed the questions.
