China will outline its plans to institute political democracy in an official white paper to be released Wednesday, state media reported Tuesday.
The white paper, titled Building of Political Democracy in China, will give a detailed account of the inception, development, contents and principles of the country’s political democracy, an official with the Information Office of the State Council told Xinhua news agency.
The official said the 12-part document would discuss the People’s Congress, ethnic regional autonomy, grass-roots democracy in urban and rural areas, and human rights issue.
