China ‘comfortable’ with Australia-Taiwan nuclear tie – Leora Moldofsky

Two Australian mining companies have signed contracts to sell uranium to Taiwan, it was revealed on Tuesday, a day after Canberra had sealed an agreement paving the way for uranium exports to China.

BHP Billiton and Energy Resources of Australia, which is majority-owned by Rio Tinto, confirmed they had entered into contracts in the past year to sell uranium via the US to Taipower, a Taiwanese energy company, for electricity generation.
