1. On May 30, 2004, a mother and her son take a break while climbing the Great Wall . The son is excited about his first visit to the Great Wall but his mother looks sad, thinking both of them with AIDS. They come with 11 other AIDS orphans to celebrate the Children’s Day on the Great Wall by the help of some volunteers.
2. In March 21, 2005, a woman is clubbing the head of a raccoon-dog while her two kids watch in a fur and leather market in Hebei. People there raise a number of raccoon-dogs and Arctic foxes for fur trade.
3. In Xiaoli village of Shenqiu, Henan Province, a man with AIDS receiving an intravenous drip has to go back to his home due to the bad condition and cold at the clinic. In the AIDS-plagued places in Henan, many village clinics are short of funds and doctors, which are the main challenges of anti-AIDS work.
4. On January 22, 2004, an old woman in Puyang city of Henan spreads a handful warm sand under an infant and then wrap it up to make a toilet. In Puyang, the city’s civil affairs bureau sends hundreds of orphans temporarily to rural families for care. Most of the orphans are severly disabled and 2/3 of the kids die from the poor living condition.
