Last week there was a riot in Youyang, Chongqing city. Now, here is another one, again in Chongqing, according to Hong Kong-based Singtao Daily, via backchina.com:
Dissatisfied with the compensation for their land in Yanjia, Changshou district of Chongqing city, several thousand citizens have demonstrated in front of the town government offices, overturned police cars, and smashed government plaques. Some people were still gathering in front of the main gate of the local government to protest yesterday. The Chongqing authorities urgently gathered several thousand police from neighboring counties to maintain local order.
