Update: Only Two Earthquake Orphans Adopted

Reuters is updating an article posted last week in the Times, at which time only one of the 88 children orphaned by the May 12 earthquake had been adopted.  Reuters now reports that two of the children have found new homes.

One reason for the lack of families coming forward was that many of the were handicapped, the China Daily said.

And many of those eligible for adoption are between 10 and 14, though most of those intending to adopt prefer children under six, the report added.
