Music: A Tale of the Yellow River

Here is an introduction of a Chinese Northwestern folk music band: Wild Children:

In February 1995, Wild Children was founded in Hangzhou by Zhang Quan and Xiao Suo. They went back to their birth place Lanzhou later.

Most of the instruments they use are from the West, such as guitar, bass, accordion, harmonica. But their music is deeply rooted in northwestern Chinese folk songs. They had spent almost a whole year to investigate on and collect Chinese Northwestern folk music.

Unfortunately Xiao Suo died of gastric cancer in 2004.
