Chinese state media is reporting that an Air China flight to New York had to return to Beijing following a threat, according to AFP:
Air China flight 981 returned to the Beijing Capital International Airport, the report quoted China’s flag carrier as saying but gave no details about the nature of the threat or how far into its journey the flight was.
The flight is scheduled to take off again at 11:55 pm (1555 GMT), the report added, quoting the airport.
