From The China Post:
China’s undisputed leader, Hu Jintao, fresh from acquiring the last of the mainland’s three top posts two weeks ago, is in deep trouble over Taiwan.
His decision to enact the controversial anti-secession law to block Taiwan independence by “unpeaceful means” was a strategic misstep with far-reaching consequences.
Before the legislation, his world was rosy: for the first time in five decades, direct two-way and reciprocal charter flights flew across the strait for the Lunar New Year holiday season and the island was ready to have closer ties with the mainland.
Thanks, Yong Liu!
