For his latest contribution to the Hexie Farm CDT series, cartoonist Crazy Crab looks at the recent directive listing seven topics that are off-limits for academics to discuss in the classroom: “freedom of the press, a civil society, civic rights, historical mistakes committed by the Communist Party, elite cronyism, and an independent judiciary.” In this Orwellian cartoon, the leader of a “Chicken Republic” secretly issues Seven Commandments, otherwise known as the “Seven Don’t Mentions.”
