Hexie Farm (蟹农场): Barbed Wire

For his latest contribution to the Hexie Farm CDT series, cartoonist  honors the 92nd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China by commenting on the status of freedom of thought and expression in the country. A human head is surrounded by barbed wire, with the barbs shaped like the CCP’s hammer and sickle. The only idea permitted entrance is the “Chinese Dream,” President Xi Jinping’s catch phrase.
