Anti’s English Blog: Translating Public Writings of Chinese Intellectuals

Chinese journalist-blogger Michael Anti (ZHAO JING) wrote on his Chinese blog:

From today on, I will translate the latest focus of discussions by Chinese onÔºànow changed toÔºâ. The original length of the Chinese articles is about 1500 characters. I do not limit the selection of camps. To make it easy for classification and search, I will carefully choose the following labels which they self-claim but are also accepted by others to label them: governmental scholars, Marxists, Mao leftists, new leftists, democrats, libertarians, constitutionalists, cultural conservatives, political conservatives, liberal conservatives, environmental leftists, women’s rights activists, science-ists etc. What I try to do is to display the full spectrum of Chinese political thought, and use professional standards to choose, edit and translate these writings. No matter what they say, it will be the real voices of Chinese intellectuals today.
