These Smoggy Days Are Yours and Mine

These Smoggy Days Are Yours and Mine

has seen some nasty smog in the past few years. The Chinese government is taking steps to reduce air pollution across the country, but it has a long way to go, as cartoonist and capital city dweller Zhu Shimao shows. Driving, dating, and diet are all effected, the last one by inhaling trace elements. “I took a few breaths in the morning and was full,” commented on Weibo [zh]. All that build-up in their bodies makes denizens of the imperial capital an excellent source of fuel. Again, Rebel Pepper: “As for people who die in Beijing, the government can make a big profit on the remains, since every Beijinger is a mine.”
