A latex spill turned Wenzhou’s Quxi River white on July 9. The local environmental protection bureau reports that the leak originated at Great Forest Trading Ltd. during the unloading of natural latex. The latex, which comes from rubber trees, flowed through water pipes into the river.
The Environmental Protection Office has told media that Great Forest will face punishment for the incident.
