Protests Hit Japanese Restaurants

Yesterday, a group of anti-Japan protesters in Beijing were stopped by police when they attempted to attack a Japanese restaurant. To avoid confrontation, the employees of this restaurant hung a red banner reading “The Diaoyu Islands are China’s inherent territory.” This restaurant is Chinese managed, and the employees are also Chinese. Other Japanese restaurants in Beijing have put up signs insulting Japan:

“The Diaoyu Islands are China’s.”

“The Diaoyu Islands are China’s inherent territory.”

“No Japanese or dogs allowed.”

“Japanese beasts: Self-Defense Forces are Self-Pleasuring Forces.”
