There has been much speculation recently about supposed labour shortages in China, with some headlines declaring factories in the Guangdong province were experiencing a shortfall of as many as two million workers.
 
However, economist Jim Walker at CLSA Asia Pacific Markets is less than convinced that this is actually the case.
