Study on China energy demand delayed – Stephanie Kirchgaessner

From The Financial Times:

The Department of Energy has delayed until the beginning of February the release of a study examining how China’s growing demand for energy will affect US “political, strategic, economic and national security”.

The study, which was meant to be completed in December and will also involve input from the departments of defence, state and homeland security, was mandated by Congress following an uproar in Washington over the attempted takeover by a Chinese oil company, CNOOC, of a California-based company, Unocal.
