CDT Chinese recently stumbled upon this list of major research projects funded by the 2013 National Social Science Fund [zh]. In the vein of research proposals with Chinese characteristics, these projects address everything from “Theory and Practice of the Chinese Dream” (Tsinghua University) to “Promoting the Strategic Adjustment of Economic Structure” (Jilin University). “Unification” of the Chinese and Taiwanese economies, “people-oriented urbanization,” as well as culture and ethics.
