From Bloomberg:
Bayerische Motoren Werke AG’s Rolls-Royce unit said it plans to open three new dealerships in China after it boosted sales to record last year.
The company, which already operates sales outlets in four mainland cities and Hong Kong, plans to add new dealerships in the southern cities of Shenzhen, Hangzhou and Ningbo, Colin Kelly, regional director for Asia Pacific, said in an interview today.
Rising affluence is spurring demand for Rolls-Royce sedans and other luxury items in the world’s fastest growing major economy. Rolls-Royce’s sales in China rose more than 50 percent last year to 106 units, accounting for a tenth of its global total, according to the company.
