The International Energy Agency (IEA) has cut its 2005 China oil demand forecast slightly to 6.64 mln barrels per day (bpd) citing stabilising demand following government pressure to limit exports.
That compares with last month’s 2005 demand estimate of 6.65 mln bpd.
China’s 2006 forecast for oil demand was cut to 7.10 mln bpd from the 7.15 mln bpd estimated in last month’s report.
