Guo Jinlong (right) resigned from his post as mayor of Beijing.

Beijing Mayor Resigns: Guo Jinlong, mayor of Beijing since November 2007, resigned from his post today. Wang Anshun is now acting mayor. One of Guo’s vice mayors, Ji Lin, also resigned.
